IN MIKKELI
October 3–5, 2025
Kalevankangas School, Päämaja School,
Concert and Congress Hall Mikaeli
THEMATIC COMPOSER: SAULI SAARINEN
Ruskatrööttä is an annual event held in a different active wind music hub each year. This year, it takes place in Mikkeli. The main goal of the event is to provide wind music enthusiasts with the opportunity to play in a full-sized wind orchestra at their own skill level, under the guidance of a professional conductor. The weekend culminates in a final concert, featuring performances from each orchestra, including music by this year’s thematic composer.
This autumn marks the 27th edition of the event, which annually gathers 300–500 participants to make music together. The event is organized by the Mikkeli Music Institute.
